The
Research Group in Quantitative Economics of Aix-Marseille (GREQAM: Groupement
de Recherche en Economie Quantitative d'Aix-Marseille), is a research
unit affiliated to the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique
along with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and the
Universities of Aix-Marseille II and III.
Set up in January 1994 the GREQAM's goals in research and Ph. D teaching
are to contribute to the advance of economic theory and to analyse problems
arising in economics and econometrics. The group is made up of economists,
econometricians, mathematicians, statisticians and engineers who emphasise
model building. At the same time they also explore problems and questions
outside the field of formal theories, using methods closer to descriptive
statistics and data analysis.
