Faculty - 2008 Summer School
Carlo Giupponi is associated professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Venice Ca' Foscari (Italy), where he teaches classes at PhD students about natural resources management and climate change. He is coordinator of the "Natural Resource Management" Research Programme at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei and visiting researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change. His research activity focuses on the management of natural resources, water in particular, and on the relationships between agriculture and environment. Specific interests are in (spatial) modelling and decision support systems. He is currently responsible of several European and national projects in the fields of agri-environmental policy, water management, sustainable farm management. He has authored or co-authored over 210 scientific and professional papers. He is member of the Board of Directors of the International Environmental Modelling and Software Society (iEMSs) and co-editor of the Italian Journal of Agronomy.
