Comprehensive integrated water planning, assessment and sustainability analysis (WP Leader: FEEM), attempts at integrating the aspects and issues related to IWRM and Dss analysed and identified in the previous work-packages, in particular WP1 providing insights into policy makers and civil society needs, and WP2, 3 and 4 providing robust scientific background. Its aim is to develop a common communication and analysis framework, which integrates sector and disciplinary planning approaches within the context of a Dss for IWRM.
Expected results: establishment of durable links and long-term collaborations between the partners and representatives of the policy and academic institutions in the Mediterranean Area; Best Practices Guidelines widely disseminated and adopted by both the scientific and the policy communities; identification of training needs for the design and implementation of more user-friendly Dss tools for IWRM, and of long-term networks for capacity building.
