NOSTRUM-Dss evolves around six work-packages (WP), which have to be implemented over a period of three years. WP2, WP3, and WP4 are devoted to scientific aspects of Dss for integrated water planning, whereas WP5 and WP6 are addressed at integrating scientific and policy-making aspects of Dss in water resource management.

• WP1 - Overall co-ordination and project management
• WP2 - Sectoral analysis of Dss in support of comprehensive planning
• WP3 - Disciplinary analysis to improve water planning and management
• WP4 - GIS, remote sensing, and statistical information in support of policy making
• WP5 - Comprehensive integrated water planning, assessment and sustainability analysis
• WP6 - Bridging science and policy for integrated water planning
