Professor Henry D. Jacoby
Co-Director
MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Professor of Management, Sloan School of Management, and Co-Director
of the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change; former
Director of the CEEPR, Associate Director of the Energy Laboratory,
and Chair of the MIT Faculty. Former director of the Harvard Environmental
Systems Program. Professor Jacoby has made contributions to the study
of policy and planning in the areas of energy, natural resources, and
the environment. He was a member of the National Petroleum Council,
the Climatic Impact Committee of the National Academy of Sciences and
the American Association for the Advancement of Science Panel on Climate
Change and Water Resources. He was also a member of the National Academies
Committee on Alternative Energy R&D Strategies, and he currently serves
on its Committee on Metrics for Global Change Research. His current
research is focused on economic analysis of climate change and greenhouse
gas mitigation, and the integration of this work with the natural science
of the issue.
