Cees Withagen received his PhD degree from Tilburg University. Currently, he is professor of environmental economics at Free University, Amsterdam, Department of Economics and Business Administration. He is also professor of environmental economics at Tilburg University, Department of Economics and Business Administration. In addition, he is head of the environmental economics research group at Free University Amsterdam. Previous positions include University of Amsterdam and Eindhoven University of Technology. He is associate editor of Environmental and Resource Economics. His research interests are sustainable development, trade and environmental policy, and evolutionary economics.
