Faculty - 2017 Summer School
Snorre Kverndokk is a Senior Research Fellow at Ragnar Frisch Centre for Economic Research, Oslo. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Oslo (1994), and is mainly working on energy and environmental economics (particularly issues related to climate change) as well as health economics. He is the former director of CREE – Oslo Centre for Research on Environmentally friendly Energy, and the former Acting Research director of the Health Economics Research Programme at the University of Oslo – HERO. He has previously been working at Statistics Norway, Department of Economics - University of Oslo, held teaching positions at Johns Hopkins University – SAIS- in Washington DC and Bologna, been involved in the latest three IPCC assessment reports, and has had several research stays in England, USA and Belgium. While his research has been on different issues mainly related to climate change, energy markets and health economics, he is particularly interested is issues of distribution, ethics and moral motivation.
